Competition For The General Courts of Appeal: Four Candidates Confirmed Their Ability to Administer Justice in the Zhytomyr Court of Appeal, and One Candidate in the Sumy Court of Appeal

On September 15, 2025, the plenary session of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine considered the issue of confirming the ability of four candidates for the position of judge to administer justice in the Zhytomyr Court of Appeal, and one candidate in the Sumy Court of Appeal.

Based on the results of the session, the Commission adopted the following decisions:

Overall, 16 candidates confirmed their ability to administer justice in the Zhytomyr Court of Appeal, 8 candidates did not confirm it, interviews with 4 candidates will be held in the plenary session of the Commission, and 1 candidate withdrew from the competition. At the Sumy Court of Appeal, 15 candidates confirmed their ability to administer justice, 6 candidates did not confirm their ability, 5 candidates will be interviewed by the plenary session of the Commission, and the qualification assessment of 1 candidate has been suspended.

Please be reminded, that by the end of September, the Commission plans to submit recommendations to the High Council of Justice on the appointment of candidates to the positions of judges of the Zhytomyr and Sumy Courts of Appeal.
