Competition for the General Courts of Appeal: Two Candidates Confirmed Their Ability to Administer Justice

On December 01, 2025, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, in the plenary session, considered the issue of confirming the ability of four candidates for the position of judge to administer justice in the general court of appeal.

Based on the results of the qualification assessment, Iryna Hazdaika-Vasylyshyn was recognised as having confirmed her ability to administer justice in the Lviv Court of Appeal.

In the Chernihiv Court of Appeal, Oleksandr Husach confirmed his ability to administer justice.

Oleksandr Yatsun and Liubomyr Tsebryk failed to confirm their ability to administer justice in the Zaporizhzhia Court of Appeal.

In total, interviews were conducted with five candidates for the Lviv Court of Appeal: four candidates confirmed their ability to administer justice in the general court of appeal, and one candidate will be interviewed by the plenary session of the Commission. One candidate withdrew from the competition.

For the Chernihiv Court of Appeal, 26 candidates confirmed their ability to administer justice, 9 candidates failed to confirm it, and 5 candidates will be interviewed by the plenary session of the Commission.

For the position of judge at the Zaporizhzhia Court of Appeal, interviews were conducted with 32 candidates: 17 candidates confirmed their ability to administer justice in the general court of appeal, 13 candidates failed to confirm it, and interviews with 2 candidates will be held by the plenary session of the Commission.
