The High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine has announced a competition for positions in the newly established specialised administrative courts. A total of 27 judges will be selected, of whom 17 will work in the Specialised Circuit Administrative Court and 10 in the Specialised Administrative Court of Appeal.
The decision on the number of judges in these institutions was made by the High Council of Justice on September 30, 2025. On the same day, the President of Ukraine signed Law № 4602-IX, which provides for the creation of two new courts and defines the legal basis for their activities.
The new courts were given the status of higher specialised courts that will hear administrative disputes, in particular cases against state authorities. The need to create these courts was dictated by Ukraine’s international obligations.
The selection will be conducted according to transparent rules for selecting judges: a qualifying exam, special checks, and interviews.
